Greece was shaken by a 6.9-magnitude earthquake right now which was felt in Athens and despatched locals into the streets in Larissa near the place the tremor struck.
The quake was at a depth of two kilometres (1.24 miles), the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) mentioned.
The German Analysis Middle for Geosciences pegged the earthquake of magnitude at 6.0.
