It was a wonderful evening for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men as they thrashed German side Red Bull Leipzig 5-0 in the Champions League group stages game with Rashford coming off the bench to bag a hatrick.
Solskjaer had a little twist to his team starting Paul Pogba in the heart of midfield behind Anthony Martial with Rashford and Bruno Fernandes starting from the bench.
United took the lead inside 21 minutes with Mason Greenwood getting on the end of a brilliant pass from Pogba and firing a precise shot that went straight into the net.
Marcus Rashford came off the bench to replace Mason Greenwood 63 minutes into the game and soon made an impact in the game at the time RB Leipzig looked capable of causing harm to United.
The England international recieved a delightful pass from Bruno Fernandes inside the box of the opposition and smashed a low shot into the bottom right corner in the 74th minute.
An error from Marcel Sabitzer saw Fred robb the ball off him setting a third for Marcus Rashford to send United 3-0 up before Anthony Martial added a fourth from the penalty spot.
Rashford completed his hatrick in 29 minutes with a wonderful piece of finishing making a yard for himself after being set up with a wonderful pass inside the box by Anthony Martial keeping it low into the middle of the net.
United now have six points are on top of the Group H table after winning their opening two matches of the Champions League group stages.
