Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is set to face another spell on the sidelines having had a leg muscle injury in the 1-1 draw Premier league game with West Ham.
Aguero 32, was taken off at half-time at the London stadium and will be assessed on Sunday to know the extent of the injury.
City’s all time leading goalscorer only returned from injury last weekend after facing nearly four months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Gabriel Jesus who also serves as a back up striker for Aguero is also injured leaving Pep Guardiola in an awful state as he either has to look to the academy for solution or play Raheem Sterling upfront.
Manchester City travel to Marseille on Tuesday for the Champions League before facing Sheffield United next in the Premier League.
Aguero on his return played 65 minutes in their 1-0 win over Arsenal at the Etihad and also scored his 40th Champions League goal as City beat Porto 3-1 in the Champions League group stage opener on Wednesday.
