Ghana drops two steps backward in the latest FIFA ranking


The latest FIFA/Coca Cola ranking released  for the month of October 2020 has seen Ghana dropped to the 48th position.

Ghana who previously was ranked 46th in September 2020 have now dropped two steps backwards in the latest list released.

The Ghana national team were involved in two friendlies this month playing against Mali and Qatar in Antalya, Turkey which they lost 3-0 in the earlier and won 5-1 in the latter.

These games were played as part of preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game in November against Sudan.

A total points of 1439 was accumulated by Ghana thereby placing sixth (6th) in the continental ranking behind Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria and Morocco.

Among the Top 10 ranked CAF teams released by FIFA for the month of October  are:
