Watford has rejected a bid of £25 million from Crystal Palace for winger Ismaila Sarr.
Palace tested the waters after making a £25m bid for the winger and are considering an improved offer according to reports to land the Senegal international, who was on Liverpool’s radar earlier in the transfer window.
Manchester United were also reported to be interested in the 22-year-old but Palace have shown much more seriousness as they’ve made an official bid.
The Hornets were previously understood to previously have wanted £40m for the winger, the same price they got him from Rennes last season.
Liverpool refused to cough out that asking price and instead completed a deal for Diogo Jota from Wolves instead.
Manchester United had Sarr on their radar as possible replacement for their target Jadon Sancho as they could not agree on a deal with Borussia Dortmund to land the England international.
Palace are now understood to capitalise before the domestic transfer window shuts on Friday at 5:00pm
It still remain to be seen if Palace will make an improved offer for the attacker or if Wolves will accept the offer.
Crystal Palace has already fished one from the Championship signing midfielder Eze Eberechi from Queens Park Rangers this summer.
But Roy Hodgson still remains adept in boosting his attacking options with Zaha, Eze and Sarr poised to be a formidable attack.
