Akufo-Addo elected Chairman of ECOWAS in Niger


Information reaching reveals that the President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency AKufo-Addo is said to have been elected as the chairman of the Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS).

According to reports, the president would head the ECOWAS Board for a year after which election would be done again to choose another head. His election to chairmanship was due to the hard work he has displayed since taking office in Ghana. President Akufo Addo has been an integral part of ECOWAS and so the community deemed it fit to elect him to lead.

Ghanaians may want to believe that his position will drive businesses in the West Africa States where Ghana’s industrial revolution will get a huge market in the ECOWAS and Africa Sub-regions as well.

In a post which was sighted on the Twitter page of the Information Ministry stated saying;

“President Nana Akufo-Addo has just been elected as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), at the ongoing 57th ECOWAS Summit, which is being held in Niamey, capital of Niger.” It Read.
