Chelsea have wrapped up another deal by signing Brazilian veteran defender Thiago Silva on a one-year-contract with an option to renew for another 12 months.

The 35-year-old defender’s contract with French Ligue Champions PSG expired last week after their Champions League defeat to Bayern and has opted to cross to the English channel.
Thiago Silva becomes Frank Lampard’s fifth signing of the summer with so top notch experience in defensive duties which Chelsea requires.
Looking forward to a new challenge Thiago Silva told Chelsea’s offical website that: ‘I’m so happy to be joining Chelsea.
‘I’m delighted to part of Frank Lampard’s exciting squad for next season and I’m here to challenge for honours.
‘See you soon Chelsea fans, I look forward to playing at Stamford Bridge very soon.’
Marina Granovskaia, Chelsea’s director who has been active in Chelsea’s transfers added: ‘We’re delighted to be able to add a player of Thiago Silva’s proven world-class credentials to our squad.’

Thaigo Silva after completing his move posted on his Twitter account: ‘Happy to announce my arrival at this iconic club! Chelsea Fc, I’m coming.’
The iconic defender has had successful spells in his career winning trophies in Brazil, Italy, France and with his national team.
