Veteran Highlife sensational singer Gyedu Blay Ambolley has in a new statement showered a lot of praises on the Takoradi boy Kofi Kinaata stating him as the only Ghanaian musician protecting the country’s culture.
According to the veteran musician, the “Things fall apart” Hitmaker is the only artist that to him seems to be keeping the name and culture of the country in high esteem.
He further stated that though the musician is doing well for himself there is a lot of things which the musician needs to do in other to be able to attain the highest of heights and rise above his peers in the industry.
Ambolley also called on all the musicians in the country to go back to their roots and keep their heritage and do music that can be traced back to Ghana.
“When you hear people like Kofi Kinaata singing or rapping you can see that there is a bit of the local content in his music and he must continue with the good work and push harder to become the best, “he said.
Gyedu Blay Ambolley also hails from Sekondi who made hits in the 1980s and even still his music rock to Ghanaians. He has made an enviable name for himself and so for him to have said that about Kofi Kinaata he must have spotted something indelible with him. Let Ghanaian musicians keep their origin in their music and will project the country.
