Usain Bolt has tested positive for Coronavirus just days after celebrating his 34th birthday in Jamaica party with guests including Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
Nationwide90fm according to reports from Sportsmail reported the incidence that Bolt has tested positive and will self isolate as a result.
Details of the report says the 34-year-old took the test few days ago and on Sunday he discovered he had tested positive for the disease.
A surprise party was held for Bolt on August 21, which the the Jamaican outlet reported host of big names were in attendance.
Among these names were England star Raheem Sterling, Bayern Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey and cricket legend Chris Gayle.
Footage showed Bolt laughing and dancing with guests while people danced to Lockdown, a song which was produced by Jamaican reggae singer Koffee in reference to the pandemic.
Bolt, eight-time Olympic gold medalist was so excited and labelled the party as the ‘best birthday ever’ on his Instagram page.
The Jamaican athlete becomes one of the most prominent sportsmen to contract the disease after tennis star Novak Djokovic tested positive in June with host of NBA stars also testing positive causing sports leagues to be disrupted.
Jamaica so far has recorded 1,413 cases of Coronavirus and 16 deaths from the disease
