David Siva finally bids emotional farewell to the Etihad after 10 years of service to Manchester City as Guardiola’s men sunk Real Madrid out of the Champions League.
David Silva 34 years now will leave the club after their Champions League campaign reaches its conclusion. At City he won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and five EFL cups .
He came into the game against Real Madrid at the Ethihad 9 minutes to normal time in the second half replacing Raheem Sterling to help Man City see off the thirteen-time champions.
He played thirteen minutes for Man City which as well was his final minutes on the turf at the Ethihad nearly marking it with a goal as he played a freekick which went just wide off the post.
He contributed his quota in helping City complete a second victory over Real Madrid which will see them in the quarter final game against Lyon in Lisbon.
Silva waved the camera goodbye after the game as he left the pitch. He then posted on his Twitter account an image of himself spending some time alone at the Etihad after the game.
Despite having been linked heavily with a move to Italy with Lazio being frontrunners to land the midfield maestro, Silva’s next move is actually unknown.
His father Fernando Silva said his son loves the Serie A and would love to play in the league amid heavy links with Lazio who are rumoured to have offered Silva a-two-year lucrative deal including a luxurious mansion and a private jet.
