Chelsea winger Willian has again turned down a-two-year deal that would have see him represent the Blues until June 2022 but hasn’t made any decisions regarding his future yet.
Chelsea face Bayern in a Champions League tie which they would need a miracle to overturn a 3-0 deficit and the Brazilian would love to feature in that game which could possibly be their last of the season.
Frank Lampard is already in distress with selection as the Blues American star Christian Pulisic is battling a hamstring. Azpilicueta, Gilmour and Pedro also out on injury with Alonso and Jorginho suspended.
The 31-year-old Brazilian’s agent Kia Joorabchian explained to talkSPORT last week that his client has had offers from the MLS, from Europe and even some Premier League clubs but was so keen on finishing the season with Chelsea.
“I don’t think he’s done a U-turn or any kind of turn,” Joorabchian said. “He’s always been very much in the same mode. We had big offers , one from MLS which required him to move on July 1, but he’s always wanted to finish the season at Chelsea and the day after the season has finished he would decide.
“He has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs on the table, an offer from an MLS club, and two other offers from Europe. He is going to make his decision after the last game of the season.”
Arsenal have been heavily linked with signing the Brazilian with rumours claiming Barcelona are also interested in him.
Chelsea improved their one year offer for players above 30 years and offered the Brazilian a-two-year deal but he wanted three which the club were not willing to.
Manager Frank Lampard has acknowledged the efforts of Willian since joining Chelsea in 2013 from Anzhi and called him “a great servant.”
